FAQs

Where is the studio located?

Wedge is located on Lakeshore Mews, a strip of small businesses and parking tucked behind the main strip of Dunlop Street East, facing the water. We are set back a little, between our neighbours Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery and Nook Yoga. If finding us by vehicle, you can enter through Simcoe Street.

Can I have work made outside of the studio fired?

No - we only fire work made at the studio.

What’s the best way to get in touch?

Shoot us an email through our contact page, or heather@wedgestudio.ca

How often do new classes come out?

Classes are added to our website seasonally. A selection of different single session classes, multi week courses and special workshops are offered each time.

What is Open Studio?

Open Studio is free time at Wedge to work on your own projects independently at a day rate. We have 4 pottery wheels available for use on a first come first serve basis, as well as work tables and studio tools for you to use. Clay, glaze and kiln firing are available for Open Studio attendees at an additional cost. You must have previous experience with clay to sign up, as there will be no instruction.

Do you offer studio memberships?

There are limited monthly membership spots available for individuals who have previously attended classes at Wedge. We’d like to get to know you first :)

Can I bring my own clay and glazes from home?

No, unless it’s been approved by the studio manager for Open Studio sessions.

Do you offer classes for children?

Not at this time. All classes offered are suited for adults 18 years old and over.

Is there parking on site?

Paid parking is available right on Lakeshore Mews in front of the studio. If that lot of full, there’s another lot right across Simcoe Street, closer to the water. Parking in both of these lots is free on weekends.

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Yes! However, some of our work tables are at standing height. Please get in touch if accommodations are needed.
