Wedge Studio is a clay space located in downtown Barrie that fosters learning and growth in the ceramic arts. We offer pottery classes in both hand building + wheel throwing, special workshops and opportunities to continue working with clay independently.
The Space
Wedge Studio is located on Downtown Barrie’s Lakeshore Mews, a long time creative hub peppered with amazing small businesses, facing beautiful Kempenfelt Bay.
Our space includes access to pottery wheels, work tables, tools and kiln firing. We also carry a selection of clays and glazes for purchase on site.
Cozy, inviting and full of inspiration, Wedge is a place to let those creative juices flow!
Founder/Teacher/Studio Technician
Heather Long is a Barrie based ceramicist, visual artist and educator. She is passionate about arts education, and has taught in various schools and galleries, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, MacLaren Art Centre, Mud Makers Studio and Days Eye Ceramics Studio.
Her clay works can be found in shops across Canada and the US and have been featured in Chatelaine Magazine, Globe and Mail Style Advisor and Simon’s/Fabrique1840. Heather is excited about supporting and growing the ceramics community in her hometown.
